Manager, F&B Product Development (Beverage)

Job Summary

The Manager of Food and Beverage (F&B) Product Development - Beverage is responsible for providing thought leadership and executing tactical product development initiatives for AMC's beverage strategy across all concepts and brands. The manager identifies and researches consumer/product trends and organizational opportunities within the beverage industry, ensuring AMC maintains a competitive edge.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing exciting new beverage products through hands on research and development, data-driven exercises, consumer testing, and collaboration within the F&B team for AMC's Traditional Concession, Dine-In, and MacGuffin's Bar Theatre Experiences.
  • Integrate food safety and cost considerations into new product frameworks.
  • Develop and release field-facing execution materials to support new product initiatives.
  • Ensure AMC stays at the forefront of innovation through communication with new and current supplier partners.
  • Provide licensing support for new and existing locations and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development, Training, and F&B Operations departments to enhance training for the AMC Alcohol business.
What we need from you:
  • 2+ years of managerial experience in eater-tainment concepts, or 2+ years of AMC Senior Manager or General Manager experience.
  • Willingness to travel, up to 20% of the time.
  • Passion for beverages and proactive approach to product development.
  • Demonstrated readiness to proactively lead new beverage product development initiatives for AMC.
  • Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
What we also value (preferred):
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field like Business, Hospitality, or Culinary Studies, or 2+ commensurate experience in a high-volume eater-tainment concept or marketing role.
  • Experience with vendor relations and joint product development.
  • Experience managing food cost and effective labor management skills.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and business case development.
  • Bar operations experience.
  • Familiarity with the operations of a concession stand/quick service restaurant (QSR) environment.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to build industry-centric professional relationships.
  • Demonstrates creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to think innovatively.
  • Fundamental knowledge of basic operations pertaining to Coca-Cola Freestyle, ICEE, and Bottle/Can executions.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)/Quality Control.
  • Experience with beverage equipment and station design.
