Position Overview:

The Inside Sales Operations Manager will be focused on developing strategies for long term account growth to achieve business goals. They will manage a team of Account Executives (AE'S) who will be tasked with servicing and growing their assigned accounts. Assigned accounts consist of transactional accounts that are owned by Inside Sales Reps. Major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: develop growth/penetration strategies for existing accounts, work directly with the AE and Sales rep on the implementation of each strategy, facilitate the on-boarding of new accounts, establish a scope of services to address the client's business objectives, and create programs/business processes to continuously improve transportation management services.

General Responsibilities

Oversee operation team growth, on both a macro and individual level.

  • Provide career path & guidance for high-growth individuals
  • Manage & Discipline team individuals not performing expected duties or at expected team pace
  • Ensure operations team is set-up for growth of ~20-40% business growth per year
  • Ensure proper shared responsibilities, ensuring that planned and/or unplanned absences does not affect overall client experience

Understand & ensure execution of general team responsibilities.

  • From accounting up to the most complex client-facing tasks, have a general understanding of these tasks to be able to determine best fit for managing that task within the team and facilitate the onboarding/transfer of that responsibility

  • While AEs and Senior AEs may take most exceptions, Ops Manager should be present and taking on large exceptions including but not limited to:
  • Potential loss of client
  • Large claims valued of $20k
  • Onboarding Client growing pains
  • Develop & Maintain Best Client Onboarding Practices
  • Develop a client onboarding system that allows new clients to be onboarded in an efficient and thorough matter after sales has closed the business.

Work environment/physical demands summary:

This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
