Lab Technician

Responsible for assisting in the operation of a natural gas and/or liquids processing facility to ensure quality and safety by obtaining and analyzing samples as well as maintaining lab equipment.

• Adhere to all operating and maintenance procedures as well as safety regulations in accordance with company policies
• Obtain, prepare, and analyze gas and/or liquid samples using methods such as titration, basic distillation, and gas chromatography
• Document, report, and generate records for all findings
• Test, calibrate, operate, maintain and inspect sampling and analysis equipment including gas chromatographs
• Order required chemicals and work with 3^rd party contractors to analyze and regulate cooling tower
• Communicate at a technical level and interface with measurement, operations, and other stakeholders

• High School diploma or GED required. Science degree; preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of Gas Chromatographs; required
• Experience as Natural Gas/Petrochemical Lab Technician or comparable experience; preferred
• Must have strong commitment to safety and environmental policies
• General understanding of laboratory operations and chemistry
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to manage time effectively, including timely decision making
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Basic math skills
• On call rotation
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
