Remuneration: Exempt

The Associate Site Operator is responsible for the on-site generation of renewable energy of the Solar Site, ensuring the site operates within design parameters in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner. The Associate Site Operator will be responsible for monitoring and operation of solar power generation equipment, including inverters, pad mount transformers, tracking systems, and monitoring devices. The Associate Site Operator will be responsible for performing the daily operation, planned and corrective maintenance, and event response for RWE Clean Energy's assets according to applicable contracts, agreements, or procedures. Furthermore, the Associate Site Operator is accountable for ensuring that all operational and maintenance activities adhere to industry best practices, safety standards, RWE Clean Energy protocols, plans, guidelines, and pertinent laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeproduction of renewable energy, ensuring the site operates within design parameters in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner
  • Respondto alarms, system failures, or abnormal operating conditions and promptly taking appropriate action
  • Corrective Maintenance: Repairs after break-down - Identify, trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair power generation equipment issues to minimize down time and maximize production
  • Preventive maintenance: Routine inspections and servicing of solar power generation equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure plants' optimal performance
  • Condition-based maintenance: Use real-time data to predict breakdowns and prioritize activities and resources
  • Perform Direct Current (D/C) health management on solar power systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Adhereto all electrical safety standards to minimize risk associated with working at the solar plant
  • Maintain accurate records on maintenance activities, system repairs, equipment performance, and other relevant data

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 yeartechnical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 1 yearexperience in a related renewable energy field

  • Minimum 1 yearexperience in trouble shooting and maintenance of solar power generation equipment

  • Prior repair and maintenance of Sun Action Tracker experience a plus

  • Knowledge of electrical safety procedures

  • Ability to perform maintenance and repair of solar inverters and Sun Action Trackers

  • Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships

  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities

  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with team members

  • Demonstrates desire to learn about the company and the renewables sector

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams

  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables

  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team

  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities

  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable

  • Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned

  • Ability to walk and stand extensively during the workday

  • Drivers license and dependable transportation required

  • Must be willing toalternate between indoors and outdoors based on assigned task and responsibilities
