Position Summary |
The Strand Lab is in need of a full-time research technician position. The incumbent will be responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day activities of the research laboratory. |

- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity and comfort with insects and mammals (rats).

- Work is normally performed in a laboratory environment.
- Remaining in normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time
- Reaching and grasping with extending hands and arm; dexterity with small insects including insect eggs.

- Overseeing the health and maintenance of insect cultures (mosquitoes, wasps and moth)
- Keeping records, providing supplies for lab researchers and working with undergraduate student assistants.
