Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to follow routine protocols under the close supervision of a faculty investigator or a senior technician. Will perform laboratory tests utilizing requisite lab equipment and instruments, making minor adjustments as required. Responsible for laboratory maintenance, preparing solutions and media, and ordering supplies. May be responsible for the care of laboratory animals.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs routine bioinformatics and laboratory analysis and tests such as; PCR, DNA purification, and next-generation sequencing.
  • Responsible for laboratory and clinical data entry and information retrieval from multiple online databases.
  • Operates requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
  • Prepares, cleans, sterilizes, and maintains laboratory equipment, glassware, and instruments used in research experiments.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent with some science coursework.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate from technical institute or internship experience.
  • Training Certificate from Technical Institute.

Starting Salary Range: $15.25 - $23.00 HRLY ($19.12/hr. targeted; Commensurate with experience)
