Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Nurse Leader in Perioperative Services. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in our main campus operating rooms.

Position Overview:

    Collaborate with nursing, surgery, anesthesia, and administrative departments.
  • Plan, direct, and manage clinical and operational functions.
  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership, implementing programs and services adhering to AORN/ASPAN standards for exemplary patient care at MSK.
  • Play a pivotal role in offering transformational leadership, sustaining a healthy work environment supporting excellence in patient care, nursing practice, and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and National Certification.
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration; BLS certification required.
  • 5+ years of related clinical experience in Operating Rooms in addition to proven leadership capability.

Core Skills:

  • Outstanding communication and self-awareness.
  • Mentorship and coaching abilities to support nursing staff development.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Adaptability and resilience to lead change and innovation.
  • Collaboration and building trusting relationships.
  • Understanding of financial principles, resource allocation, and cost management.

Additional Information:

  • This role is based at MSK's Main Campus hospital, 1275 York Ave, in NYC.
  • Schedule: 4 x 10s
  • Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services.
  • We are open to considering candidates available for relocation to NYC this summer.

Pay Range: $146,100.00 - $241,100.00.
