Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Section Leader of Mammography/Ultrasound and also reporting indirectly to Imaging Services Director, the Patient Clinical Navigator is an integral member of the LDCT Lung Screening Program and Mammography Program who works to ensure safety, best practices and high quality standards of care are maintained for the program. This position is responsible for acting as a patient liaison in coordinating necessary care for the patients and ensuring that optimal service is delivered; works in collaboration with referring physician offices and clinics to help navigate the patients through the healthcare system and coordinate follow-up testing; maintains program data file to ensure that required information is collected and submitted to all regulatory agencies and registries; and reports program status to the medical directors of CT and mammography and the director of imaging services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive relevant experience in a healthcare environment. Previous experience in Pulmonary Medicine, Oncology, Breast Imaging or Diagnostic Imaging preferred.

Licensure and/or Certification: ARRT and Mass RT License or holds current nursing licensure in the state of employment; BLS Certification

Skills: Strong customer service skills required.

Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimum supervision.

Knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft office-Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills required to interact with all levels of Clinic personnel.

Demonstrates attention to detail. Presentation skills.
