Senior Director, Product Marketing -Hybrid

Bright Horizons seeks a highly motivated, passionate Senior Director of Product Marketing to play a critical role on its Marketing team. This individual will be an inspiring leader, a skilled cross-functional collaborator, an expert communicator and a true subject matter expert on go-to-market strategies, product positioning, messaging, and storytelling and developing and managing end-to-end product marketing strategies to drive growth. The Senior Director will be joining the Bright Horizons organization at pivotal time and with a "seat at the table" will help the organization continue to shape and transform the education and care industry.

This role is responsible for defining and managing the go-to-market strategy for Bright Horizons services. An ideal candidate will bring proven experience creating go-to-market strategies and developing messaging in response to multiple inputs - including buyer/end user needs, stakeholder feedback, product features, and market trends - to maximize purchase and utilization.

As a leader on the Marketing team, the Senior Director will have an important voice in decisions related to marketing and service-specific messaging, research, and growth-driving initiatives. This leader will define the marketing strategy for this critical business within the Bright Horizons portfolio.

What you will be doing:

  • This is a hybrid role, based out of Newton, MA.

  • Build and manage end-to-end product marketing strategies, including research to understand our audiences and differentiation, own the development of product value propositions/positioning, orchestrate with internal teams to generate awareness, product launch and go-to-market strategies, ongoing measurement and optimization.

  • Monitor market and competitive trends shaping the market and deeply understand marketplace dynamics to determine the strategic points of differentiation for Bright Horizons; respond with new messaging, campaigns, collateral that keep Bright Horizons top-of-mind with current and potential buyers.

  • Foster a data-first culture: Leverage analytics to help determine go-to-market strategies involving segments, targeted accounts, and target buyers, and collaborate with marketing teams, sales teams, and strategic vendors to execute.

  • Craft impactful stories and effective marketing collateral by deeply understanding our consumer and B2B clients and their unique needs.

  • Serve as voice of the customer; possess deep understanding of the business strategy and be able to translate business imperatives into actionable and measurable marketing strategies.

  • Leverage analytics to determine go-to-market strategies involving segments, and target buyers, and collaborate cross-functionally to help inform campaign and program strategy.

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required, MBA/Master's degree preferred.

Functional Competencies:

  • 10+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the enterprise product marketing, including 6+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products and services and manage existing products with fully integrated campaigns/go-to-market strategies.

  • Experience developing product collateral and messaging that tells a compelling story, and directly supports marketing campaigns.

  • Adept at managing tight timelines, competing priorities, and projects that span multiple departments.

  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated success developing campaigns that measurably generate interest and conversion in a product or service.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical thinker, capable of assessing how marketing efforts contribute to opportunity creation and organizational growth.

  • Skilled public speaker with experience presenting to peers and executive audiences in live and virtual settings.

Leadership and Management Competencies:

  • An ability to manage and motivate colleagues, providing direction, guidance, training, and mentorship.

  • A demonstrated track record of building and maintaining relationships and assessing an organizational structure.

  • One who has an executive presence.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a multi-year timeframe.

  • Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

  • Strong consultative and collaborative aptitude.

  • Thorough and detail-oriented; ability to handle a wide range of questions, activities, or issues varying in complexity across teams.
