We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking an Operations Specialist, Compliance for our site in Charleston, TN.

What you will do:

The Operations Specialist, Compliance works with the Production Manager to develop materials, coordinate programs, and facilitate training and subsequent qualification for Central Infrastructure operations personnel. Responsibilities include overseeing the training development program, quality and compliance training, environmental training, audits, assessments, and documentation/reporting. The role involves managing aspects such as, MOC and Spirit based training updates and documentation, auditing PODs, and developing/training and qualifier role for skill blocks.




  • Design, develop, and implement training programs focusing on safety, system operation and routine task expectations, quality management, compliance, and environmental compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Act as the qualifying SME to ensure all personnel are consistently and thoroughly trained and achieve, demonstrate, and maintain the required degree of competency for their level per the program specifications.
  • Create engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, and interactive modules,
  • Conduct training sessions on quality assurance processes and compliance procedures.
  • Keep abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure training content is up to date.
  • Provide training on environmental sustainability practices and operations to minimize the environmental impact of our activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to integrate environmental considerations into daily operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit and assessment processes to measure training effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with audit requests for information on compliance for training and environmental documentation and procedures, including training records.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
  • Generate reports on training metrics, effectiveness, and compliance levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand specific quality, compliance, and environmental training.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to incorporate industry best practices into training.
  • Perform on-call duties to address unexpected situations outside standard working hours.
  • Provide support to colleagues and team members as needed.
  • Assist in data gathering for troubleshooting activities.
  • Develop and maintain PI Vision screens for system monitoring.
  • Help with data management with financial, environmental compliance documentation management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



What we need from you:



  • Associate degree in a technical field required or Completion of the Chemical Operator program at Chattanooga State Community College (or equivalent program).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a technical/production environment required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a trainer required.
  • Experience and detailed knowledge in Wastewater Treatment, Boilers, River Water Treatment, Cooling Tower systems, Condensate systems, Nitrogen systems and Air systems required.
  • Experience as a Chemical Operator, preferred.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced query and reporting skills
  • Solid presentation and training skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Infrastructure and the verbund.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Demonstrate technical competency in the areas of safety and process improvement.
  • Knowledgeable about hazardous waste management.
  • Knowledge of all relevant relations of the Infra department in the integrated production unit required.
