Sr. Business Analyst (Remote)

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for Business Analyst to grow with our team. Job Location: Pleasanton, California

Responsibilities



  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis
  • Collaborate with partners from different departments to Capture and analyze business requirements related to timekeeping.
  • Document detailed business requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Design and configure Timekeeping Systems and related software applications to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with IT teams to customize, integrate, and implement timekeeping solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses for storing timekeeping data.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into employee attendance, overtime, and other relevant metrics.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for optimization.
  • Find opportunities to streamline and automate timekeeping processes.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users on systems and processes.
  • Address user inquiries, solve issues, and call out technical problems as needed.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and FAQs.
  • Use JIRA and Agile methodology including writing user stories, participating in PI planning and, daily scrum standups.
  • Support for SIT, UAT and prod implementation.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a Relevant Experience.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on timekeeping systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of time and attendance management concepts, methodologies, and software solutions.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) and/or relevant software platforms (e.g., Kronos, Oracle HCM) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superb communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Project management skills and experience managing multi-functional projects from inception to completion.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 27 April 2024.

The annual salary is between $43,900 - $109,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

The position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
