Position Summary

As a Software Engineer II, you will build, maintain, and secure our healthcare platform. In doing so, you will help us pave the way as a technical pioneer during this time of rapid growth. Let's work together to make a difference in the world of healthcare!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.
  • Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems.
  • Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyses for review by experienced team professionals.
  • Provide technical leadership to a small engineering on a project-by-project basis.
  • Create engineering tasks based on product requirement documents provided by product managers and engineering managers.
  • Provide code reviews to engineering peers based on experience with gRPC, protobuf, docker, and SQL, using a perspective that always considers member experience foremost.
  • Architect and Develop features and core infrastructure geared towards member experience.
  • Transition existing infrastructure to microservices.
  • You will design database schemas and automated test code for microservices.
  • Update existing code to improve the scalability and availability of data transformations, which will improve member experience and system efficiency.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • 2.5+ years of CS industry experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering design experience specializing in member experience.
  • 2+ years' experience with gRPC and protobuf.
  • 3+ years of Schema design experience using vertical databases, for example, redshift or vertica.
  • An advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience building software where caching is used for better performance for API responses.
  • You possess the skill of developing software that executes on Linux/Unix systems.
  • Experience writing software solutions using objective-oriented design patterns, for example, cake patterns or dependency injection.

The base salary range for this position is$105,000 - $120,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here.Total compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
