Overview

The Senior Manager, Operations Integration, Mergers and Acquisitions will oversee and lead project management efforts and will be responsible for developing integration strategies, evaluating operational facilities and infrastructure, and driving process improvements. This position works closely with cross-functional teams, including corporate development, finance, commercial, and operations, to ensure successful integration and the realization of deal ROI. This role will also lead a team of functional experts to provide on-site integration and change management support throughout the deal lifecycle.



Responsibilities

    Engage with business leadership to gain a comprehensive understanding of the strategy and business/operational implications of the deal.
  • Partner with the broader strategy and corporate development team in various phases of M&A planning, including target evaluation, prioritization, due diligence, and acquisition business case development.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks, issues, or dependencies that arise during the project to the appropriate forums for quick resolution.
  • Design, develop, and implement tools, such as spreadsheets and databases, to analyze operational activities and provide ongoing insights (e.g., storage, throughput, distribution capacities, strategic growth modeling).
  • Track, forecast, and report budget, costs, synergies, savings, and other integration metrics to the Integration Project Steering Committee.
  • Lead functional calls between sign and close and post-close, providing direction and coaching as needed.
  • Lead the development of detailed Day 1 readiness checklists and integration work plans (Day 30-60-90-180) within the operations team.
  • Drive continuous learning and organizational excellence in M&A by refining frameworks and best practices for future acquisitions.
  • Lead an operations support team that identifies opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance current operations.
  • Collaborate with corporate development, finance, commercial, and operations teams to drive process improvements, capture best practices, and develop repeatable playbooks.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in strategic project management, preferably within operations integration, merger, and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of operational facilities, network infrastructure, transportation, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop integration strategies and plans that drive business growth and scalability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address risks and dependencies from a set of complex data points.
  • Must be able to travel 50%-75% across BBG sites.
  • Proficiency in using tools and software to analyze operational activities and provide insights.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to track and report on budget, costs, and integration metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of functional experts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Prior experience managing projects within operations integration, mergers, and acquisitions

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone

Competencies:

  • Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine. Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve issues.
  • Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available.
