Major/Essential Functions


  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, freshness, and presentation of food. Ensure that food is prepared according to food safety guidelines and is presented in an acceptable manner.
  • Count money and process deposits. Insure proper handling of cash by employees, particularly cashiers.
  • Order and receive food and beverage deliveries, check delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
  • Maintain food inventories and keep inventory records.
  • Manage staff, preparing work schedules/determine staff requirements and assign duties. Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation.
  • Complete required university/departmental/franchise training.
  • Interview, hire and train new employees and develop existing staff.
  • Knowledge and experience in food products and preparation of food.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety preparation including temperatures, hold times, cross-contamination, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with some supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal four years.

Pay Statement
