SUMMARY:
The Employee Engagement Department is responsible for the implementation of agency-wide efforts, designed to connect all staff to opportunities that are crucial to shaping the most engaging employee experience possible. These efforts include overseeing a robust calendar of communications and activities, creating greater accessibility and equity within our staff, supporting and consulting with other teams and leaders to maximize engagement, and coordinating events for employees to connect with each other.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Employee Engagement, the Employee Engagement Coordinator, will support all activities of the department including ongoing and new agency-wide engagement initiatives. With the ability to channel their creativity and passion for enhancing the employee experience, they will have the unique opportunity to promote and foster a culture of connection that emphasizes collaboration and access.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage agency internal communications calendar with guidance from Employee Engagement leadership
2. Manage and lead use of internal communications platforms: SharePoint, Viva Engage, MailChimp and print materials
3. Identify opportunities to increase internal, multi-directional communication and lead these efforts
4. Produce and implement staff surveys and feedback mechanisms, including timely communication and closure of feedback to all staff
5. Support with the promotion, coordination and implementation of all-staff engagement events that include but are not limited to: monthly Agency-wide Town Hall and quarterly staff support group Lean On Me, bi-annual internal conference, People Co Con, Holiday Decorating Contests and staff appreciation events
6. Provide administrative support for staff committees and groups
7. Apply a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens to all department activities and facilitates access to staff with lower levels of engagement
8. Representative of the Employee Engagement Department and its values in all internal spaces
9. Take lead on some projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
2. Self-motivated and able to successfully work in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams and vendors.
4. Ability to think critically about problems and be creative in finding solutions.
5. Strong communication skills, including written and oral.
6. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
7. Detail oriented with excellent time management and communication skills.
8. Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
9. Demonstrates an ability to use new technology to enhance the employee engagement experience.
10. Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers.
11. Valid CA Driver's license, reliable car, auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Client-serving experience preferred.
2. Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Primarily indoor office environment
2. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 15 pounds
3. May necessitate working in busy and loud environments
4. May be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor
5. May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day
