Responsible for creating innovative, informative, and engaging screen designs, wireframes, iconography in support of the UX related to new software or significant enhancements to existing software for our medical device and digital application portfolio. Works with business-area experts and other R&D team members to understand requirements for systems and develop UX specifications and designs to help strengthen the useability of our solutions. The Senior UI/UX Designer applies their mastery of contemporary UI/UX concepts, tools, practices, and production methodologies to perform a range of tasks with an expected degree of creativity and latitude.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Apply functional and technical expertise, addressing topics of user interaction, system behavioral compatibility, and usability integrity across multiple medical devices and digital applications.
  • Establish and lead the foundation of a UX practice to integrate as part of a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems consisting of embedded and application systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain UX standards and software components to integrate with commercial, engineering, and scientific requirements.
  • Independently design and develop new UX patterns for software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Create wireframes and mockups from system concepts, ensuring consistency, clarity, and elegance of presentation while adhering to existing digital brand standards and established interaction patterns, ensuring that products are easy to use, powerful, and meet users' needs.
  • Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design and user interaction of software systems.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Advance new techniques or advance the state-of-the-art designs to further strengthen system interaction.
  • Prepare detailed plans, which may span over a year for programs or complex projects.
  • Represent the organization as the primary UX expert on projects.
  • May act as team leader on projects.
  • Respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • May participate in the development of software user manuals.
  • May participate in the development of development and test strategies, devices, and systems.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.


Experience

Minimum 7 years' experience.

Skills



  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer.
  • Portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for device and desktop screens.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of CSS, JavaScript, HTML, basic Typescript. Bonus points for Angular.
  • Expert level ability using the following: Qt Designer, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Must have experience with mission critical applications, preferably MedTech solutions.
  • Must have knowledge of the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the creation and evolution of appropriate UX patterns, and applicability to engineering applications and products.
  • Skilled in developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Ability to understand requirements and create wireframes and other UX maps/UI mockups using a variety of tools depending on the system being designed.
  • Ability to efficiently execute multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, and deliver on-time for multiple Agile teams.
  • Ability to deliver cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
  • Work beyond routine nature of tasks, utilizing specialized knowledge and technologies.
  • Individual must be team-oriented with excellent attitude and vision.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Passion for making the complex become beautifully simple.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range:$96,700.00to$120,800.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:10.0%
