Department Overview

PG&E's Solutions Marketing department is responsible for the planning, development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that drive positive customer experiences and participation with PG&E products and program offerings. This includes safety and emergency preparedness, residential and business rate education, energy efficiency, income qualifying programs, clean energy, transportation electrification, decarbonization and a variety of other initiatives designed to help customers manage and achieve their sustainability and climate goals. The Customer Communications department is responsible for direct-to-customer communications regarding bills and payment, safety, compliance mandates and field work and operations.

Position Summary

Provides administrative support to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Customer Communications Department, Director of Solutions Marketing and their extended leadership team.

This role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office as business needs require.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $93,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $139,000.00

Job Responsibilities

  • Streamline and organize the Sr. Director's and Director's schedules by managing and prioritizing calendar, resolving conflicts, and arranging meetings.
  • Showcase your creativity by preparing documents, reports, presentations, and meeting materials for review and approval.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment:foster a joy at work culture where coworkers feel known, loved, and appreciated, by coordinating team-building activities and promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Lead with Lean: Guide usage of the 5 Lean plays and support the team in development and maintenance of the Lean tools.
  • Hone your writing skills by composing, proofreading, editing, and formatting written correspondence, agendas, and documents for approval and distribution.
  • Be a team player by coordinating and supporting department meetings and provide backup coverage for the PG&E Media Hotline.
  • Be a digital guru by coordinating the maintenance of department SharePoint sites and Teams environments.
  • Keep the team well-stocked by ordering supplies and equipment as needed, and processing expenses related to these actions in a timely manner.
  • Be a financial whiz by assisting with the processing of expense reports and managing commercial card usage and reconciliation of statements.
  • Be the go-to person by monitoring, prioritizing, and following up on action and review items for the Sr. Director and team, including time reporting, pay planning, performance improvement plans, and performance management.
  • Help keep our customers safe by serving as a member of the company's emergency response team, providing invaluable support after business hours during emergency response activations. Support the Public Information Officer's section through media line management and call routing, administrative support and more.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Four (4) or more years of administrative support experience is required.

Desired:

  • One or more years of experience supporting Director level .
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, portraying a high degree of professionalism.
  • Organization and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines.
