The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a Graduate Assistant to work for our campus locations for the upcoming school year. This position will assist the Office Managers under the supervision of the Administrative Manager in the daily operations of the School of Business, the School of Arts, Sciences & Education and the School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics. The GA serve as the first point of contact to people coming to the office, front desk receptionist, cover the office when staff is in meetings or unavailable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet students, faculty and staff in a professional manner, answer phone in a professional manner for general inquiries

  • Assist office manager in managing calendars and scheduling appointments on Outlook

  • Assist faculty with technology issues, copier issues, submit work orders when needed

  • Assist in completing task specified projects assigned by faculty and staff

  • Coordinate with office manager in organizing events with booking rooms and food orders, and if schedule allows, be flexible to assist at school functions and special events as needed.

  • Run errands between buildings if necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in an Graduate Day program at SNHU

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service and/or office work experience is a plus

  • Ability to work independently, and with flexibility to work in different locations,

    and ability to adapt to changing tasks.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a team player with office manager and members of the school's administrative team.

  • Flexible, creative and self-reliant
