College of Community Innovation and Education - Center for Community Schools:

The UCF Center for Community Schools in the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of Central Florida is a practice-based organization that provides community school technical assistance, university-assisted partnerships, training and development, and assessment and evaluation.

The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education Center for Community Schools is now accepting applications for a Program Manager I. This role works with the Research Associate to effectively plan, develop, and implement processes and systems to support the business and operations of center grants and projects.

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide management and coordination of day-to-day operations and functioning of internal business and operations.

  • Support the Research Associate in managing up-to-date monitoring of the UPI and CPS projects to ensure ongoing strategic goals and objectives are being addressed and action steps are being implemented.

  • Develop and monitor internal systems to support the administration and processes of projects.

  • Effectively communicate with project staff across departments to ensure cross-collaboration and overall cohesion of business administration and practices.

  • Compose and develop policies, manuals, and other materials to support the efficiency of business operations and setting of strategic goals and objectives that elevate the internal workings of center projects.

  • Ensure projects have adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials.

  • Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensures maximum productivity and improved efficiency.

  • Identify solutions to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment.

  • Supervise and lead the work of the Program Coordinator(s) and provide guidance and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in organizational operations.

  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in times of change.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing.
