Responsibilities

  • Perform routine Nuclear Medicine procedures and produce quality images while applying radiation safety.
  • Verify physician orders, screen patients for appropriateness of study, educate patients, select appropriate protocols, and demonstrate ability to problem solve image quality.
  • Provide patient care for a population base of all ages including pediatric through geriatric.
  • Assure the equipment is functioning properly.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Coordinate technical work and patient flow.
  • Provide computer-enhanced post-processing of procedure.
  • Understand compliance to state and federal regulations with use of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Perform other administrative duties under the direction of the Radiation Safety Officer and Director of Radiology.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R),(ARRT)(N) or (CNMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board.
  • BLS certification
