Student Laboratory Assistant

Job Description
Student Assistant to function as a Student Laboratory Assistant within the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity; performs general laboratory housekeeping tasks; cleans and sterilizes glassware and waterbaths; autoclaves research instruments; defrosts and cleans freezers and refrigerators; wipes down lab areas; maintains inventory of general research supplies; receives, unpacks, and stores incoming supplies; runs on-campus errands; copies, files and types documents utilizing word processing and spreadsheet programs; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Required
Student must be enrolled in a degree granting program at OSU. One year of college coursework or equivalent is desired.

Required Qualifications

Federal Work Study Jobs can only be filled by a FWS student. Requires successful completion of a background check. Candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
