Associate Project Developer - Mountain West AES Clean Energy (AES) is currently seeking an Associate Project Developer to assist development and project execution of solar, solar + storage and standalone storage projects in the Mountain West market as a member of AES's Development team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of key tasks within the development team throughout the project lifecycle providing project support to help these innovative and exciting renewable energy projects reach construction and come to fruition. The position will be based out of AES CE's headquarters in Louisville, CO and will report to the Manager - Project Development. The successful candidate will support and eventually lead project development efforts for AES CE's pipeline in the mountain west market. The role requires the ability to manage multiple project portfolios, attention to detail and travel as needed. The successful candidate will work on a cross functional team with origination, legal, finance, engineering, construction, outside consultants, landowners, customers, project stakeholders and utility companies. The role requires project management knowledge and solar energy industry experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of development for greenfield projects from after origination through to construction commencement Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets Participate in project meetings with internal and external stakeholders Review contract obligations in key project documents Assist Project Discretionary Permitting including permit strategy, tracking permit efforts, working with local AHJs, presenting at permit hearings Coordinate for delivery of site and environmental studies, surveys and diligence reports Coordinate Interconnection process with utility company Work with internal and external Engineering teams as they progress engineering and design Work with internal construction management team on contractor selection process Coordinate with construction management team on securing ministerial permits Handoff projects once fully developed and permitted to construction management team Participate in project financings answering relevant diligence questions and providing required documents Provide support and analysis for new Business Development opportunities Assist the Development team as needed and applicable on upfront origination efforts Skills and Qualifications:
