The College of Education & Human Development's Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education prepares teachers, scholars, community and school leaders in early childhood and elementary education. Students gain extensive content knowledge, hone innovative teaching methods and learn to work effectively within diverse classrooms.

The College of Education & Human Development's Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist, Curriculum.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for reviewing, developing and implementing college policies and procedures related to academic affairs, including curriculum and class scheduling. This position may require teaching one course per semester within the undergraduate teacher certification program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Collaborates with the Department Chair to create course schedules.
  • Staff's courses according to faculty workloads.
  • Coordinates admissions processes.
  • Acts as the point of contact for textbook adoptions
  • Monitors and facilitates compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Communicates policies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serves as a liaison between the office and the university community.
  • Develops and recommends policies and procedures related to student success.
  • Assists with departmental event planning.
  • Manages the daily flow of paperwork, electronic documents, and communication.
  • Consults with and assists staff and faculty on related activities.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years administrative experience; or a high school diploma or GED and eight years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Advanced proficiency preferred in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced proficiency preferred in Microsoft PowerPoint.
