Job Description

Mission:

Working under a general supervision, process purchase orders and perform data entry, generate quotes, verify export compliance, maintain data entry and integrity, and general administrative tasks as necessary in support of sales and customer service; supporting contract administration with responsibility for specific customers and regular status updates.

Work Shift

  • Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides data entry and maintenance using various systems VIS, Innovator, excel and Web Focus.
  • Maintains required files and records and prepares related reports or analysis information as required.
  • Represents the company in professional manner, actively supporting all management policies, programs and procedures.
  • Acts as liaison between the customer and all plant departments on matters pertaining to tooling, part designs, rejections, deliveries, increases or decreases of orders, specifications and other matters. As requested, contacts customer to obtain necessary modifications, releases or approvals for deviations from original orders, or to arrange conferences or review between technical personnel. Maintains continuing contact with customer to transmit information concerning any details affecting order status.
  • Facilitates in obtaining the correct documentation for ITAR controlled products and update accompanying systems.
  • Is familiar with Wyman-Gordon Investment Castings, Inc. manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with FCO on any ITAR related issues.
  • Complete end user statements and any other ITAR requirements.
  • Assist with transfers form other facilities if needed and maintain transfer data.
  • Update any purchase orders or line items as needed.
  • Other office administrator tasks as needed.
  • Performs other duties of the same or lesser degree as required by the position or as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:

  • Familiar or previous experience with Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follow, and interpret instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
  • Must be able to understand and work in technical and engineering-heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Self-starter and takes initiative on tasks.
  • High school Diploma or an associate degree in business, marketing, sales or general studies.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be a United States citizen or a green card holder.

Reporting Relationships:

  • This position reports to the Sales Manager.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
