Empower - System Administrator

Job Location: Foster City, CA

Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the application's software, hardware, and data, coordinating with IT for maintenance where applicable.
For GxP applications, ensure system is maintained in a state of control and compliance.
This includes following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, while documenting maintenance as required.
Responsible for level 3 application support as escalated from level 2 support.
Provide technical expertise in the support and maintenance of validation package as it pertains to application.
For example, User Requirements, Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, Configuration Specifications, Risk Assessment, Trace Matrix, and other specifications/documents. Provide technical content for Installation, Operation and Performance protocols.
Understand the principles of and be able to follow Computer System Validation (CSV) processes for all system validation activities.
Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedures that leverage system capabilities and meets user requirements.
Provide technical expertise and input to the content of change controls, CAPAs, deviations and effectiveness checks when applicable.
Responsible for Identifying opportunities for improving application functionality and mitigating performance issues by working with system manager, support team and IT resources to analyze functional design and/or overall application technical design.
Support upgrades or enhancements as scheduled, based on client system road maps and timelines.
Responsible for Identifying opportunities for streamlining applicable business processes by working with system manager, other system administrators and end users/business teams to help configure or develop improved application functions based on business requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Required to be onsite resources in laboratory setting.
Requires at least three years of experience in the above activities

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $70-130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
