Position Description

Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Manage assigned staff through coaching and mentoring and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with coordination and implementation of Visitor's Center operations and programs.
  • Assess and generate market approaches and evaluate potential student markets to achieve stated university and recruitment goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the prospective students, parents, and counselors through meetings and admissions presentations in the Visitor's Center.
  • Plan, supervise and implement receptions, public relations and recruitment events on campus. Assess programs to determine effectiveness.
  • Partner with Alumni Association, Parent and Family Relations, and other campus community offices in university wide student recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain detailed records of fiscal responsibilities including efficiently allocating allotted resources to maximize effectiveness.
  • Development and assessment of staff goals.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of daily visit programs and campus events and provide recommendations to the Executive Director of Admissions.
  • Assist the Executive Director of Admissions with strategic planning related to recruitment, especially for our Visitor's Center.
  • Forecast visit programming and report on trends in daily visits.
  • Assist with providing enrollment reports for staff utilizing the CRM reporting software and ensure that they are using the system for optimized territory management and recruiting practices.
  • Assist the Executive Director with data analysis and report writing.
  • Assist with staff development and trainings, as needed, including in-person and virtual meetings with team members.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of higher education recruitment and admissions
  • Sales and territory management experience
  • Event planning, coordination, and implementation
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn and utilize customer relationship software.
  • Management experience

Pay Statement
