Part-time Faculty Position, Contemporary Ethics Instructor, SCPS Full-time Faculty Positions Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Part-time Faculty Positions DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed. Apply for this Job Posting Details Job ID: 137916 College/School: School of Continuing and Professional Studies Responsibilities: The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at DePaul University is accepting applications from those interested in part-time opportunities to develop and teach courses in one or more of the following subjects in an online asynchronous format. Topics include: An introduction to moral philosophy , classic theories and leading figures in the history of ethics, professional ethics, contemporary ethical debates. SCPS serves adult, non-traditional students, and underserved populations, and provides flexible learning formats and scheduling to meet student needs. The school offers a variety of majors including Business Administration, Non-profit Management, and Leadership Studies. Students develop lifelong learning, writing, critical thinking, research and career development assessment and planning skills throughout their multi-disciplinary curriculum. Required Qualifications: A master's degree, Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field and relevant experience is required. Experience teaching at the college level is desirable, but not required. Special Instructions to Applicants: Part-time teaching opportunities are available including online, hybrid, and on-campus throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs, demonstrated successful teaching experience, and appropriate, verified qualifications will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the school will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the school does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations.
