Responsibilities

Hiring Immediately!

Pay Rate: $23+ per hour DOE

Schedule

4:00am - 12:30pm / Friday & Saturday off

Job Duties & Responsibilities:.

  • Perform routine kitchen tasks.
  • Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
  • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  • Strictly adhere to our Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.


Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to read and mix recipes for food service items.
  • Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Able to use kitchen equipment as necessary in preparation of food service items.
  • High organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Able to read a thermometer correctly and accurately.
  • Able to accurately count and weigh all incoming product and compare to order sheet; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Must check product(s) to ensure quality of food product (i.e.: freshness, color, shape, temperature, and proper size specifications)
  • Must be able to accurately store, label, and date all incoming food product to insure maximum shelf life.
  • Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Able read, write, communicate, and work well with others

Supplemental Information

This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
