  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.




  • Position Summary



    • The New Graduate RN is responsible for performing various duties in the care of patients in accordance with established protocols, policies and procedures at Franklin Memorial Hospital. In the New Graduate Program, the new nurse is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. This program is intended to support the new graduate nurse during their first year in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner. Looking for positive attitude, self-motivated, patient-centered new grad to join our very upbeat Med/Surg team. All New Graduate RN's (or those with less than 12 months of RN experience), hired into regular status positions are automatically enrolled in our 12-month Nurse Residency Program in conjunction with their unit-based employment.




  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



    • Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.


    • License/Certifications: Active nursing license to practice in the State of Maine. Current BLS certification.. ACLS within 6 months of date of hire for critical care departments. Other certifications specific to department policies may be required.


    • Experience: N/A


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff


    • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation and terminology requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information


    • Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination


    • Proficient computer skills
