Overview

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its dynamic Creative Services team. This talented individual is a seasoned creative that executes designs for a wide range of marketing campaigns, digital initiatives and communications. The right candidate will be able to voice creative rationale, possess great attention to detail and be able to successfully meet deadlines with little direction. The Graphic Designer will have the ability to articulate creative concepts and work with internal clients, designers and other stakeholders to develop high-quality creative that supports and enhances the ICE brand.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Designer with a portfolio that reflects his/her expertise in digital as well as print. ICE adopts a digital-first mindset, and as such, we are looking for a candidate that is well versed in the capabilities and limitations of digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Work with lead designers, on tactical execution of deliverables within projects, and ensuring brand consistency across projects
  • Work with other members of the creative team to execute campaigns in a timely manner
  • Design materials according to guidelines and brand architecture for marketing campaigns, digital initiatives and communications
  • Work with Operational Designer to update and maintain creative guidelines as they evolve
  • Create materials for internal and client presentations across multiple business units
  • Produce and update fact sheets, whitepapers and other like marketing collateral adhering to the ICE brand guidelines
  • Maintain organized files and uphold Creative Services storage and naming conventions
  • Manage business-as-usual design projects in the queue in a timely fashion while upholding brand standards
  • Articulate creative rationale through strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to develop a consistent experience across all deliverables, such as online graphics, presentations, tradeshow creative, video storyboards/graphics, web content, advertising, etc.
  • Coordinate multiple projects while working with a range of internal clients and being able to consistently deliver high-quality creative
  • Participate in creative team brainstorming sessions and reviews
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the ICE brand and maintain its integrity through creative development
  • Stay abreast of trends in design and technology to ensure creative solutions are relevant and reflective of a global organization

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelors' Degree required (Fine Arts, Advertising or other related field)
  • 3 + years proven experience in a Designer role
  • Experience with B2B marketing a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed, and stay operative if traveling for business
  • Experience in design applied to digital and print media in support of integrated marketing communications programs
  • Track record as a hybrid designer - speaking to and designing for digital media as well as print
  • Strong knowledge of current digital platforms, front-end web design and email template design
  • Strong conceptual thinker and creative problem solver
  • Ability to storyboard/sketch or translate ideas to design team to spark further idea generation and collaboration
  • Ability to translate complex ideas and data into infographics and other creative executions
  • Collaborative approach/mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with designers, peers, and internal and external clients
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality is a must
  • Extensive experience and proficiency with current graphic design software and tools, practices and procedures including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, Keynote and others
  • Understanding of, and ability to design for, current social media platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of production processes for print, environmental and digital media
  • Expert knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, possibilities and limitations of media
  • Organizational skills - ability to prioritize assignments and work successfully in a deadline driven environment

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
