Lead Production Accounting Analyst

The Production Accounting Analyst will play an active role in the Denver Division's Production Accounting Team in the following activities:
  • Production facility setups utilizing the ProCount production accounting system.
  • Calculations and volume allocations for the Division's upstream and midstream assets.
  • Daily volume reporting utilized by management and production operations personnel.
  • Monthly volume reporting for accruals, revenue distribution and cost allocations.
  • Monthly regulatory agency reporting (State & Federal).
  • Analyze and review volume variances to ensure quality control.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department on processing plant shrink and yield factors and gas and crude marketing.
  • Collaborate with Division's facilities, production, and measurement groups to understand facility and measurement design.
  • Participate in application and regulation training sessions for Lease Operators.
  • Ensure related processes are compliant in accordance with SOX guidelines.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years upstream production analyst, accounting, regulatory reporting experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing and heavily active organization.
  • Self-motivated with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to team development.
  • Experience with P2 ProCount, Cygnet SCADA, and FlowCal preferred, comparable system experience will be considered. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel; pivot tables, filters, vlookup, and other formulas for used to analyze or compile data
  • Knowledge of complex production allocations, crude and condensate measurement and characteristics, natural gas liquids, and gas processing.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with field personnel, office staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Aptitude to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively across departments and with all levels of the organization.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
Min $60,000.00 / Max $110,000.00
