The Assistant Director for Service reports to the Director of Leadership and Service and is a key member of the Leadership and Service team, serving as a thought partner with the Director and a strategic collaborator with faculty and staff across the university.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Assistant Director for Service reports to the Director of Leadership and Service and is a key member of the Leadership and Service team, serving as a thought partner with the Director and a strategic collaborator with faculty and staff across the university.

Overall responsibilities within the Office of Leadership and Service include but are not limited to:

* Collaborate with the SCE Director in developing annual goals that grow civic engagement programming and assess outcomes.

* Partner with community leaders and campus partners to create and support opportunities for students to engage in community service that elevates the transformative effect of their educational experience.

* Plan and execute a variety of civic engagement events and workshops, including signature Days of Service.

* Work with student clubs and organizations to develop co-curricular service opportunities.

* Supervise Leadership and Service coordinators (2) in their facilitation of service opportunities and programming for the student body.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:



  • Master's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree from an institution of higher education in College Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, Social Work or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of college student development.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and facilitating large scale, detail-oriented programs and events.
  • Skilled in collaboration, supervision, and strategic planning.
