Description and Requirements

We're seeking a business manager responsible for driving market share, revenue, and profit for the North America Commercial Android Tablet business. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing the end to end lifecycle of Commercial Tablets. This includes planning and execution of quarterly campaigns. The position will work closely with the WW Tablets business development, NA Sales teams, Demand Planning teams and product management teams. The candidate will need a broad skill set including analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment and product knowledge. They will need strong communication skills, which will enable them to become a trusted advisor in the organization and present to senior executives on a regular basis.

Business Planning Responsibilities:

Commercial Android Tablets:

  • Align with North America category team to set key quarterly/annual business objectives including units/share, revenue and profit.
  • Review market analysis, including sell in and sales out.
  • Work close with Commercial Sales account executives to plan and execute Sales.
  • Drive initiatives to maximize share, mix, margin and overall product contribution to the portfolio & business.
  • Manage gross to net budget (GTN), including tactical pricing dollars, needed to drive execution of campaigns.
  • Responsible for working with marketing teams to execute demand generation programs.
  • Evaluate performance against plan at appropriate intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly) and make corrective actions to keep on track to achieve goals. Present details to management teams on a regular basis.
  • Provide relevant input to the annual & quarterly planning cycles of key financials (Platform Mix, Units, AUR, AUM, Rev$, Margin$)
  • Identify opportunity to partner with alliances to grow business

Product related:

  • Effectively manage Product Transitions with a view to maximizing revenue & profit
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for relevant products; co-owner (with Sales) for forecast
  • Effectively differentiate Lenovo offerings from competitive alternatives and create distinct customer preference for Lenovo offerings. Knows when to bring elements of competitors' offerings or products into the equation to create the highest yielding deal for the customer and Lenovo.
  • Determine customer needs through participation in Sales & partner meetings.
  • Recommend and position appropriate product to customers.
  • Feedback competitive "price:spec" details to product team to help arrive at appropriate positioning and product messaging.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have financial acumen and understanding for P&L management processes
  • Familiarity with selling products in the Channel
  • Proficiency in Excel, and other office applications
  • Proficient in Qlik
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience and understanding of the product management processes
