About the Role

Our Account Directors bring value to our clients by analyzing, solving and presenting viable integrated solutions to clients. They identify and inspire new work streams and solutions that lead to client growth by collaborating with and drawing on the expertise of the Ogilvy's vast resources and capabilities. They identify and champion great work and understand the importance of flawless delivery. They must also possess the ability to be a team leader, independently develop programs, oversee the development and delivery of high-quality work products, play a business development role and offer strategic client counsel.

What You'll Do



  • Establish and maintain relationships with key health client contacts and ensure that client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over time


  • Has depth and diversity of account experience that informs PR counsel


  • Develop and manage projects and programs, including strategies, implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, staffing plans, timelines and budgets


  • Act with a high degree of independence; hold responsibility for overall account relationships


  • Direct development of broad range of materials including strategic recommendations, client communications, press releases, speeches, articles, brochures, presentations and collateral materials


  • Efficiently and effectively plan and manage large-scale events


  • Develop and guide media relations strategy


  • Provide leadership in growing existing accounts, identify and pursue opportunities for developing new business and participate in new business process


  • Manage team to ensure work is appropriately delegated, help nurture and grow staff including conducting performance evaluation process and creating opportunities for professional development


What You'll Need



  • 6-8 years of relevant healthcare communications experience including 3-5 years supervisory experience


  • Understanding of the regulated healthcare marketplace and its implications for communications


  • Experience working with integrated marketing teams and creating impactful PR solutions


  • Able to manage the day-to-day business and client relationship on a piece of business (or several small projects) within a large client account


  • Strong communication skills, particularly with verbal presentations, program development writing and attention to detail


  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive results for clients


  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
  • Diplomatic, inspiring and empathetic leadership skills

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$75,000 $180,000 USD
