Responsibilities

Schedule

Flexible schedule. Night Shift.

The Role

Responsible for the organization, scheduling of staff, and on the floor directing of the warehouse on the night shift. Responsible for warehouse safety, order accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

    Ensures proper training of staff by training new hires and re-training on an as needed basis.
  • Works side by side with Human Resources on hiring initiatives and practices.
  • Upholds employee handbook policies.
  • Management of schedule to budget
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll approvals.
  • Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products.
  • Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Lead by example should be able to perform the jobs and fill in when necessary.
  • Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations.
  • Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Operations Manager in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
  • Conducts minor disciplinary actions in regards to company policy, performance and attendance of subordinates
  • Responsible for Quality and Food Safety.
  • Other duties as assigned

Peripheral Duties

  • Support and implement food safety, workplace safety and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support and implement the company's initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in warehouse shipping and handling,
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing 5 or more employees,
  • Experience WMS AS 400
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, And PowerPoint.
  • Inventory Management experience is a plus
  • Must be able to safely operate all warehouse equipment,
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and center rider pallet jack
  • A vast knowledge of the fresh produce or perishables industry is needed to be successful in this role.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills.
  • Must have an excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and short deadlines.
  • Critical Thinking, ability to use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility, with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days, weekends and holidays.

Supplemental Information
