Responsibilities:



  • Conduct incident investigations, identifying root causes and working with the operations and drilling teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, identify suitable corrective actions and oversee their implementation
  • Conduct site safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and safety procedures..
  • Verify procedures are fully implemented and identify improvement opportunities and update procedures accordingly.
  • Conduct risk assessments, maintain risk registers and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and ensure compliance. Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or inquiries, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Champion a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and participation in safety initiatives at all levels of the organization.
  • Foster open communication channels for reporting safety concerns, suggestions, and improvements.


Position Summary:



  • The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Senior Representative will develop, implement, coordinate, promote, and evaluate HSE management programs for one or more business units
  • Assist in the implementation of the Operational Management System, advising operations personnel of the requirements and providing guidance on its implementation.
  • Frequent travel to our Minot, North Dakota district. Estimated travel - one week per month as needed.


Required Skills:



  • Conduct Risk Assessments - Environmental Impact; Hazard Analysis; Hazard Identification
  • Risk Controls Identification - Implementation of Comprehensive O&G HSE Program
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with Government Regulations and Industry Standards
  • Emergency Response - identify emergency response requirements, develop and Implement plans and programs to mitigate emergency events
  • People Development - Identify training requirements and prepare training & development programs operational employees


Required Experience:



  • Five years plus HSE experience in upstream oil and gas industry
  • Specific experience with drilling, production or workover rigs required
  • High School diploma required
  • 2-year degree or certificate in process or occupational safety preferred.
