Process Control Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Process Control Engineer at our Coatesville operation. The Process Control Engineer is responsible for our application and HMI Process Control systems. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Design, programming, documentation, and support for the existing Level 2 (application and HMI) system
• Transition level 2 system from VMS-based platforms to virtual VMS and Windows platforms
• Address issues that may impact production or system reliability
• Implement system upgrades
• Proactively handle quality and reliability issues
• Work with vendors on products and performance issues
• Identify and manage activities necessary to proper maintain equipment
• Communicate with outside departments within the plant and in other Cleveland-Cliffs facilities to ensure a continuous operational flow
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 Years of manufacturing Experience as a Level 2 Process Automation Engineer
• VMS/Vax/Alpha experience
• .Net (VB, asp) Experience
• Microsoft DevOps Experience
