Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing data tracking processes, ensuring accurate reporting for HB8 compliance, and collaborating with various teams to align strategies and support Dallas College's mission.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience analyzing and designing program/system improvements tailored for workforce data analytics.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of software automation and coding, with strong organizational and analytical skills, paying close attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of technology, software applications, and relevant computer information systems in the context of workforce data analysis.

  • Acts as a collaborative team player, capable of working autonomously and in teams to achieve common goals.

  • Experience in project teams, ensuring successful project outcomes. Communicates effectively with stakeholders, utilizing excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in data analysis, possess strong capabilities in designing and building data tools and dashboards, and have proficiency in working with multiple systems to gather data and run analyses for multiple credential, graduation, and course-sharing reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field. Or an Associate's degree plus 2 years experience.

  • An official transcript will be required.

  • Two years of experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL Server, Python, R, DAX, PowerBI, or SAS etc.

  • Data analytics certificate is strongly preferred.

  • Current and valid Texas driver's license required for offsite travel.

  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures day-to-day workforce data tracking for reporting purposes, maintaining accuracy and integrity.

  • Oversees the maintenance of current dashboards, ensuring they reflect up-to-date workforce data trends and insights.

  • Manages semester and quarterly projects related to workforce completion, graduation, and credential course tracking, ensuring timely completion and data accuracy.

  • Reviews, codes, and tests new and existing software applications to enhance workforce data tracking and reporting processes.

  • Assists in analyzing and assessing current data systems and operations, recommending improvements where necessary.

  • Efficiently manages semester and quarterly projects related to workforce data tracking, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and project objectives.

  • Ensures compliance with project rules and provides regular updates on project progress.

  • Provides technical support regarding workforce data tracking software and tools, promptly addressing issues to maintain smooth operations.

  • Conducts data analysis to identify trends and insights, supporting decision-making processes within the workforce operations.

  • Ensures the integrity of workforce data for reporting purposes, verifying completeness and accuracy.

  • Develops and delivers ad hoc reports as needed, providing stakeholders with timely and relevant workforce data insights.

  • Collaborates with internal departments to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring alignment with workforce data tracking objectives.

  • Develops and maintains documentation, including system and user guides, to support workforce data tracking and reporting processes.

  • Stays updated on industry trends and best practices in workforce data analysis and coding through professional development activities.

  • Participates in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to workforce data tracking and analysis.

  • Performs any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of workforce data tracking and reporting processes.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
