Senior Manager Product Data Strategy

Define Product Data Strategy (50%)

• Refine and prioritize business requirements across verticals and systems
• Identify gaps in data model efficiency and scope level of effort required to address
• Define user workflows within and across systems
• Contribute to product data roadmap tailored to specific nuance of each vertical
• Drive alignment on which data points are mastered in each system
• Assist in establishing the proper flow of data between systems
• Create a playbook for item onboarding and activation

Facilitate Collaboration (30%)

• Run point on key relationships with data partners
• Assess deliverable quality from data partners against defined expectations
• Drive consistent vocabulary across teams so everyone speaks the same language
• Bridge communication between business users and technical users
• Build peer relationships across SRS to facilitate effective knowledge sharing and avoid duplication of effort

Measure & Summarize Progress (20%)

• Determine metrics for use in tracking progress towards data maturity against baseline (once established)
• Articulate to various audiences how each vertical is tracking towards data maturity goals

The Senior Manager of Product Data Strategy should have foundational if not proficient understanding of:

• PIM, ERP, DAM
• Multi-tier data modelling
• Taxonomy
• Data flows
• Data governance
