Job Summary

The Associate Dean of Educational Partnerships will provide leadership for operational strategies and processes that enable Educational Partnerships and dual credit offices and school district partners to be more productive, efficient and continuously improve the success and credential completion of dual credit, Early College High School and P- TECH students.

  • Responsible for supervision of staff in educational partnerships assigned to enrollment and student support processes and activities.

  • Provides leadership to the implementation of strategies and processes to improve productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement related to enrollment, student support and credential completion.

  • Collaborates on solutions-oriented improvements with high school partners and Academic Success and Student Success

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Dual credit leader with a track record of developing solutions and strategies to achieve educational goals and improve student outcomes and process efficiencies in collaboration with regional school district partners.

  • Academically and experientially qualified to accomplish the goals of Educational Partnerships to achieve expected program outcomes with a demonstrated distinguished record of leadership and accomplishments at a college level.

  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of Texas Education Agency and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board dual credit blueprints and requirements, state, and federal educational regulations, and SACSCOC accreditation requirements.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with school district and high school administrators, faculty and students as well as other academic and student service personnel and external community stakeholders.

  • Experience in shared governance with excellent interpersonal communication and problem- solving skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing dual credit, ECHS, P-TECH and T-STEM pathways and programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to keep current on latest trends within the academic community.

  • Strong work ethic and self-starter with ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.

  • Experience in operational planning, policy development, and outcome/needs assessment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to student success.

  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills to be able to interact with a diverse Dallas College community network.

  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service with continuous focus on improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Dean of K-12 Educational Partnerships in providing leadership for the expansion and improvement of the Dual Credit program, Early College High Schools (ECHSs), Pathways to Technology (P- TECHs) ECHS's and T-STEM programs in coordination with the Dallas College Academic Success and Student Success leadership. Develop and implement operational strategies that can be replicated across all Dallas College campuses, resulting in increased Dual Credit student participation and contact hours as well as an increase in the successful completion of certificates, degrees and improved preparation for employment or transfer to a university.

  • Manage Educational Partnerships Coordinators and other assigned staff, providing project management for enrollment and student support logistics.

  • Provide training and engagement activities for staff, faculty and administrators on dual credit processes and student support strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines established by Dallas College, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Texas Education Agency regarding dual credit and the Blueprints for ECHSs and P-TECHs. Resolve problems related to the implementation and expansion of these programs by gathering facts and other related resources. In collaboration with Information Technology and Educational Partnerships, researches and develops technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procedures.

  • Build positive and collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty and administrators at all Dallas College locations, as well as with personnel from the ISD's, Charter and Private Schools and community agencies. Evaluate academic programs and processes, analyzing the current and future needs of the students and community.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in related field.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in higher education OR three (3) years of experience with Dual Credit and Early College High Schools.

  • Current and valid Texas driver's license required for offsite travel.

  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
