Nurse Practitioner-Walk-In Clinic Damariscotta

Summary

The Walk-In Clinic at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in beautiful Damariscotta, Maine is currently seeking apart time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant). This position will be a Part-Time 24 hours per week, two 12- hour shifts, with one weekend per month.

Our clinic will be caring for patients of all ages with acute minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis in our recently constructed state of the art Watson Health Center. We seek PA's and NP's who are looking to work in a fast-paced environment caring for various medical conditions as part of a patient centered team. Providers will be working collaboratively with our primary care and emergency medicine teams to provide high quality, efficient and affordable care for life's 'minor emergencies'. Being part of MaineHealth system allows easy coordination of follow up when needed. The Walk-In facility will offer laboratory services and radiograph capability which are present on our Miles campus. Our facility will be open 7 days a week with evening hours. Desired Qualifications & Experience:



  • Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Graduate of an accredited certified Family Nurse Practitioner's program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant program.
  • License/Certification:Maine NP or PA License and DEA.
  • ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Prior experience in emergency medicine, urgent care/walk-in care or primary care is preferred.
  • Experience with suturing, wound care, radiograph interpretation, and splinting is preferred, but not required.
  • 2 years' experience as an NP/PA in ED, Urgent Care or Primary Care is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, computer literacy: word processing, EMR, and e-mail.
