Additional Compensation Details:

• $23.00 - $25.00/ hr Hourly Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
• Potential 90-day performance-based raise
• Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.

Schedule

6:00am - 2:30pm, with Tuesday and Saturday off

The Role:

The Produce Ripener is responsible for determining the product's condition upon arrival and what the next course of action needed to manage the produce. The right candidate for this position will be able to utilize their experience in multiple product categorization and color chart determination to classify the produce with an expert eye.

Charlie's is an extremely fast-paced environment where the volume of inventory requires a high level of tracking and the practice of proper procedures using the warehouse management system to maintain inventory integrity. Since the Produce Ripening role is responsible to maintain a daily inventory of all commodities the right candidate will be comfortable practicing an extremely high level of attention to detail with a low tolerance for variance.

Job Duties:

• Daily inventory for all item codes under job responsibility.
• Check bananas or other commodity that is ripened upon arrival.
• Ripening banana or other commodity according to SOPs.
• Proper planning for timely delivery and fill rate of all item codes involving ripened commodities.
• Conduct quality check, sorting & grading of bananas in warehouse and there-after managed rejection.
• Monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries.
• Checked with proper schedule guidelines in ripening status.
• Be self-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Strengthen internal relationships and foster communication with the purchasing group.

Required Experience:

• Must have intermediate English skills (reading/writing/speaking)
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must have 1 year warehouse/picking experience
• 1+ years of experience working with riding pallet jacks and forklifts (stand-up and/or sit-down)
• Previous experience with RF scanners in a warehouse environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills
• Inventory and forklift experience
