Job Description

The Account Manager serves as primary business contact for the customer at the corporate level and is ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction and must possess excellent knowledge of the customer's business, competition, latest industry news and capabilities of her/his company. The Account Manager also ensures consistently exceptional customer service by thinking creatively and always doing whatever it takes to ensure the best results. She/he is an ambassador for the account representing the customer needs and goals within the organization.The Account Manager also manages a team of project managers/coordinators as well as working with colleagues and partners internally & externally to achieve the best experience possible for the customer while achieving Company results.

Essential Duties:

  • Manages multiple corporate relationships.
  • Manages daily needs of assigned accounts.
  • Manages gross margin to meet company objectives.
  • Provides quotes and pricing to customers.
  • Negotiates payment terms.
  • Respond to and follow up sales inquiries by telephone or email.
  • Responsible for entering corporate orders accurately.
  • Accountable in making sure orders are complete and shipped on time.
  • Research and find sources for customers' items requirements.
  • Provide samples/prototypes for customer items requirements.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure customers' needs are met.
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable to assist in collecting monies on past due invoices.
  • Work with Purchasing Department to ensure inventory level is sufficient.
  • Work with Billing Department to accurately invoice unique billing requirements.
  • Coordinate rollouts and ship schedules with Warehouse Manager.
  • Assign and manage employee workload and responsibilities.

External Qualifications

Requirements: Minimum five (5) years' experience in the food service industry. Highly customer service oriented. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience supervising staff. Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills. Able to multi-task. Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word. Rapidly able to adapt and respond to changes in priorities and schedules. Detail oriented. Maturity to take initiative.
