Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Qualifications for Employment

Education (Minimum Requirements):
Associate's degree.

Employment Experience (Minimum Requirements):
* Two years' work experience in an administrative or office setting, preferably in the field of education or in a not-for-profit institution;
* Experience in budget monitoring and maintenance;
* Demonstrated proficiency in usage of Microsoft Excel and Word software applications.

Nature and Scope of Duties
The Assistant to the Coordinator for Instructional Services reports to the Coordinator for Instructional Services and performs the following duties:
1. Works closely with Instructional Services staff and faculty to support instructional needs.

2. Supports and assists Coordinator of Instructional Services and other instructional services staff in all aspects relative to purchasing, financial reporting, and financial tracking.

3. Acts as a liaison to the EOC Business Services Department in support of purchasing, financial reporting, and vendor activities.

4. Assist faculty and instructional staff in the identification of educational materials including textbooks and technology.

5. Interacts with and supports Instructional Services staff in special requests and activities.
6. Processes and maintains copies of instructional program materials, which include course objectives, course outlines, course checklists, and Instructional Plan Proposals (IPP's) for all programs.

7. Maintains records and completes reports, including compiling of statistics and data related to office functions, especially all grant and special project activities.

8. Conducts and maintains inventory control system of textbooks and operational supplies in conjunction with faculty.

9. Assists the Coordinator of Instructional Services in creating, formatting, processing, and maintaining master instructional schedules.

10. Assists with new faculty orientation on academic processes as it pertains to Instructional Services.

11. Monitors and reports on implementation of departmental and office procedures.

12. Makes recommendations to improve the operation of departmental and office procedures.

13. Develops and maintains computerized reports and databases that support office functions.

14. Reviews EOC related database(s) periodically and assists faculty, as needed, with system concerns.

15. Maintains custody of instructional and office equipment assigned to the department.

16. Promotes and maintains positive communications and interactions with EOC staff and other "customers" in performance of duties.

17. Keeps Coordinator informed at all times of departmental activities.

18. Cooperates with other center offices and staff, as appropriate.

19. Enforces those Center regulations that are academic in nature as well as Center regulations in general.

20. Attends and participates in meetings as necessary and assigned.

21. Works occasional evening assignments as may be necessary to complete assigned duties.

22. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

This is a full-time 12-month Management Confidential position with a salary of $50,000.00.
