Position Summary:

This position will primarily serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable components of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) end-to-end for all operating companies within North America. The position will execute both operational and process improvement initiatives driving positive financial impact to the organization and will participate in these projects for the payables function through implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute and develop data analytics solutions for Nestle in the Market's (NiM) payables team to improve Nestle financial position and ensure timeliness of payments in accordance with vendor agreements. Includes the analysis of the results from various monitoring and reporting tools to perform year-over-year and monthly analysis of payment data to assist with corporate financial reporting requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement identified improvement initiatives across the S2P end-to-end, which drive efficiencies and economies of scale using root cause analysis.
  • Analyze escalations from internal Nestle users, third-party Business Processes Outsourcing (BPO), global Centers of Scale (CoS) and vendors related to invoicing and payment issues and identify actions to address the current and sustained resolution; implement resolution utilizing internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in implementing day-to-day operations for the internal and external payables teams.
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational issues and work with BPO and CoS partners to analyze transactional data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by collaborating with global and third-party teams. Including the coordination and execution of activities related to design, impact assessment, testing, training, and operational execution within the Payables function for S2P and other top-down initiatives.
  • Adhere to risk and control processes related to Accounts Payable to ensure controls are effectively executed to address both internal and external risks, including the fraud environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience required; equivalent experience defined as at least 4 years of relevant, professional-level working experience in the same or similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance, accounting, or procurement positions required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel (including vlookups, pivot tables, and macros) and/or Access experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experiencing leading process improvement projects preferred
  • Experience developing and utilizing PowerBI, BusinessObjects, or other reporting/data analytics tools
  • Experience working in SAP or other enterprise resource planning system preferred
  • Experience partnering with external service providers preferred
