About Your Team
Your team is part of our Family Preservation program which provides community-based prevention and intervention for high-risk children and adolescents, and their families, and focuses on issues affecting families including communication and parenting skills, truancy, and related family issues. We provide a wide range of assistance and supports to families who are in the process of reunification or are working to avoid separation.

What You'll Be Doing
You will work in collaboration with the Program Manager to onboard the program's new hires and to ensure all staff receive ongoing education necessary for their work. The FSP Trainer will assess the training needs of FSP staff as well as develop a plan to meet the needs.

Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
* Works closely with the program staff as they support families throughout Rhode Island.
* Ensure program staff meet all requirements and deadlines outlined by the FSP training module and are enrolled in the appropriate training plans Provide field supervision and consultation to all program staff as needed and provide feedback to the Program Manager.
* Provides training and direction for all program staff by completing field-based observations using a combination of face-to-face observations and video review.
* Reviews documentation and certification for FSP staff and cases and ensure that the FSP programmatic requirements are adhered to, coordinate with the Training Coordinator and Program Manager
* Provides case coverage to FSP families as needed.
* Attends programmatic treatment model training to maintain current knowledge and certification status
* Ensure ongoing support to FSP staff by maintaining appropriate skills labs and training groups and developing curriculum.
* Plans and conducts workshops for the team to practice the identified programmatic treatment models.

Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
* Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
* Minimum 6 months' experience working in child welfare, parent education, or home-based services required.
* Knowledge of child and adolescent development, family dynamics, and/or crisis intervention prefer.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
* Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
* Collaboration and teamwork.
* Must have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and car registration.
* Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check.
* The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.

Physical Requirements
Direct Service Staff (Travel as part of position):
This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.

Travel Requirements
Site location: Providence
Statewide travel required.
