This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

BNSF Creative Services is an in-house agency responsible for corporate video production, photography, graphic design, high-visibility event/meeting production, distribution of creative assets to various audiences across multiple channels, and BNSF Railway's public website BNSF.com, along with ownership of other processes, systems and communications critical to BNSF's Corporate Relations efforts. We are a small team charged with working efficiently and strategically to deliver high quality creative assets while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to everchanging business needs.

The Manager, Corporate Communications role requires a unique combination of technical aptitude, communication expertise and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the BNSF organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations, and improvement of BNSF.com.
    • Lead the selection of technology and vendors for a new BNSF.com that will achieve our vision of a best-in-class website that meets the needs of our various stakeholders.
    • Oversee the daily operation of BNSF.com to ensure that content administrators can efficiently deliver timely communications to relevant audiences.
    • Continually evaluate BNSF.com against new technologies and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities to improve the site and better meet the needs of the business.
  • Develop content for the BNSF Impact Report and ensure its timely distribution in order to inform key audiences of our progress in sustaining our operations, creating value for our customers, engaging with employees and connecting with communities. This report will serve as the company's one source of truth.
  • Develop BNSF Annual Review, which is a subset of the Impact Report, and ensure its timely distribution in order to inform key audiences of our performance in the areas of Safety, Service, People and Environment.
  • Oversee the licensing of BNSF's brand, creative and historical assets in order to protect our copyright and trademark while building good will.
  • Oversee the purchase of photo, video and graphics rights to aid in the effectiveness of ongoing BNSF communications initiatives.
  • Represent Creative Services on the cross-functional Brand Team within Corporate Relations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Experience evaluating, leading the selection of, and managing an enterprise CMS.
  • Experience producing major business communications such as an Annual Review.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Possess strong organization and project management skills. Must be able to adjust priorities on the fly and field urgent, unexpected business needs while reliably progressing strategic initiatives.
  • High technical aptitude with the desire to understand emerging technology and adapt its capabilities to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, take ownership of responsibilities and progress initiatives while maintaining open communication with leadership and adapting strategy as directed.
