Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Tijuana, Mexico

Position Overview:

In this role, you will provide financial and business-related analysis and research for financial and expense performance, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, support strategic financial planning and analysis, and oversee cost accounting. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual capable of handling various finance-related responsibilities while ensuring effective liaison with the Shared Service Center (SSC) for different finance processes and collaborating with Program Management in the accurate cost tracking and reporting on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Compute and prepare data for journal entries and review general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness.

- Support the Plant Finance Controller in overseeing accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed assets, payroll, and some compliance matters.

- Work closely with the Plant Finance Controller and Operational teams to review operational metrics and KPIs to ensure manufacturing performance is measured appropriately.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.

- Support internal and external audit processes.

- Assist in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

- Perform cost accounting activities, including standard cost development and variance analysis.

- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare cost reports.

- Support inventory management and control processes.

- Oversee different finance processes handled by the Shared Service Center (SSC).

- Act as the liaison between the SSC, the site, and the customers to expedite the resolution and clarification of specific issues.

- Manage financial aspects of NPI projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.

- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of diversified experience in Forecasting, Cost Accounting, A/P, A/R, and Corporate Reporting, preferably in a Standard cost-manufacturing environment.

- Fluent in written and spoken English is a must.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), local Mexican GAAP and accounting principles.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with IQMS is a plus.

- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Power point, with advanced skills in Excel).
