Position Summary:

Resilience is seeking a talented Scientist II with a background in Molecular and Cell Biology for the Analytical Development Team within the Cell Therapy Franchise. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in an expansive variety of analytical tools (e.g., cell biology, molecular biology, genome science, immunology, etc.) to develop methods and innovative technologies for the characterization and release of cell therapy products. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across multiple internal teams and with Resilience's partners to develop and optimize qualitative and quantitative assays necessary for biomanufacturing success. This position will have approximately 75% wet lab and 25% dry lab responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support molecular and/or cell-based assay development, qualification, and transfer to the Quality Control department.
  • Author technical and scientific documents including, but not limited to, technical procedures, study protocols and reports using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Execute test methods (TSTs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) using Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Keep detailed records of experiments and procedures in an ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Maintain laboratory, instruments, and other equipment according to SOPs.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise junior team members as needed.
  • Contribute to team and cross-functional meetings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve company and team goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of molecular and/or cell biology analytical tools (e.g., PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, reverse transcription, flow cytometry, cell-based potency assays).
  • Willing to execute work in a regulated environment with Good Pharmaceutical Practices (GxP).
  • Experience in authoring and executing test methods (TSTs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience with data analysis tools and software packages relevant to executed laboratory techniques.
  • Strong desire to master multiple, complex laboratory techniques.
  • Willingness to provide support to meet team goals and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly productive in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in scientific practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ (PhD), 5+ (MS) or 7+ (BS) years of experience
  • Experience in one or more molecular genomic techniques (e.g., short read next generation sequencing (NGS), long read sequencing, single cell sequencing).
  • Experience or knowledge of immunology and/or immunotherapy.
  • Experience in genomic data analysis/bioinformatics.
  • Experience in a CMC-development or GxP environment.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
