Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

EBeam's mission encapsulates its role as the "eyes" of KLA's product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex Linux cluster infrastructures tailored to meet the specific needs of our semiconductor tools. This involves creating solutions for products that we build in a manufacturing environment and ship to customers around the world. A deep understanding of Linux systems, high-performance computing (HPC), and cluster management is ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive architecture plans for Linux cluster infrastructures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment and configuration of Linux clusters, including hardware and software components.
  • Creating detailed documentation for architecture designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Linux systems and HPC technologies and incorporate them into our solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum of demonstrated ability with Linux-based systems
  • Proven experience with OpenStack
  • Proven experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals in a clustered environment
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or SaltStack
  • Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC)
  • Hands-on experience leading OpenVPN, Nginx, HAProxy, and K8s
  • Experience using Open-Source tools in production infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree and minimum of 5 years related work experience, Master's Level Degree and minimum of 3 years related work experience; Doctorate (Academic) Degree and minimum of 1 year related work experience.
